I have a problem with my landlord. My garbage disposal isn't working.
My landlord wants me to pay him $50 before he agrees to send someone to fix it. I don't believe I should have to pay anything in order for him to fix this problem.

Your signed lease agreement will contain information about repairs, who is responsible for completing the repairs and how much the tenant is responsibile to pay for each repair.
If you don t have a signed lease agreement then you and your landlord will have to work out a repair agreement. Be sure, though, sign a lease agreement with your landlord so that your have a legal guide for disputes.
