My daughter has been physically attacked at her apartment.Immediately, this was reported to the office. We wanted the residents to be made aware of the location and description of the individual. the complex refused and no additional security measures have been done. We were informed that this type of situation she can break her lease due to the safety issue and fear is this correct?

I am sorry to hear about what happened to your daughter. The best thing for you to do would be to look up the landlord-tenant act for your state. In some states, it would be legal for her to break her lease due to this type of crime. You can also contact an attorney, who should be able to give you this information. Alot of attorneys will give you a free consultation. I hope that this has helped you. May God bless you and your family.
