Apartment Advice - Places for college kids

I am one of 3 college students that are going to be moving to attend Orange Coast College 2010 Fall Semester with friends. When looking for apartments is it a good idea to tell them we are college students? Or will they automatically assume that we will cause problems and be obnoxious just because we are college kids?
