what to do if your landlord is lying about things and I know shes pocketing money. She still hasn't gave me my copy of the lease back yet. Shouldn't I get that when I signed the origanal papers?

I signed 15 papers when i signed all HER lease agreement papers. Why so many papers for a apartment rental. And when I signed the papers I was trying to read them and she grabbed them from my hand and said i wasn't suppose to be reading them. I should of said something right then but she acted like she was in a rush. It's been 6 days now and Ive called her twice about the copy I needed from her. Then she has us write on a blank paper to make a list of any problems we see in our apartment. She said she didn't give out the apartment complexes itemized list of all things such as carpet, and damage so we are not responsible for it. I asked her why we just cant fill that out she said nobody ever returns them to her so she didn't give them out anymore. So fill out our own and give it to her within 10 days.
Whats up with that? Please help me with what to do.
Nothing is like she said it would be.. Nothing at all.
Thank you for listening to my story.

Is this person the landlord? If not, the papers were sent to the main office for the landlord's signature and you should have your copies by now. If not, tell this person that you want your signed papers (your copies) immediately! As for the move-in sheet, type one up for each room in the apartment and make her sign it in your presence. Then, tell her she will get a copy of it as soon as you get your copies of the lease agreements. Remember, don't sign anything until you have read it and understand it!
