Newport Square is situated beside North Academy Boulevard and is 6 miles away from the charming and historic Old Colorado City. Residents can travel to the nearby Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Pioneers Museum, or the Peterson Air & Space Museum Foundation. Military residents have a short commute to the United States Air Force Academy in the northern edge of the city or the Peterson Airforce Base in the south. In spite of the location, occupants disapprove of the Coppperhead Road Honkey Tonk Saloon across the street and feel that the area, along with the maintenance of the apartment complex, has declined in recent years. North Academy Boulevard is just minutes away and makes shopping, dining, and getting around town easy with the multiple bus stops situated along the street. Austin Bluffs Plaza, shops, and marketplace are less than a mile from the property. Despite a convenient location, some renters are dissatisfied with the noise levels and a few would like to see improved security. One reviewer was unhappy with the cost of utilities as well. Several elementary, middle, and high schools surround the area, making Eagleview a great option for tenants with children. Students of Colorado College will also enjoy a short commute to campus. Reviews are few and far between, with no clear consensus on Eagleview. One renter from 2011 was dissatisfied with the many smokers living at the complex and felt laundry was a bit expensive.
