Review for Norris Management Apartments

I was a tenant of Norris Management in Coolidge Arizona and these guys are something else. They took over from a previous manager in November and i was not notified until December and the whole rent situation was screwed up. Trying to get these guys to fix things was next to impossible, I reported a hole in my bedroom in December, the thing was never repaired. I had a worker come out to fix some doors and put a 220 outlet for my dryer, he damaged my plug in to the dryer. Then come March, they tried to evict me because they said I did not pay for February and March, when in fact they had the money orders. When we went to court I proved that I had payed and the eviction was thrown out. What they were trying to do was evict me for allegedly not paying November 2008 and it was not brought up until six months later. Then come April 2009, I received a notice of intent to terminate vacancy, I believed this to be retaliation for winning in court. I ultimately moved out on May 5, 2009. Now these people are trying to collect for May and November rent, which I had no duty to pay them because A) I gave verbal notice to their attorney at the court hearing and B) They were in violation of the Arizona Landlord Tenant Act for properly providing a cooling system and a working heater for the house. I was told by there Operations Manager that he had no duty under the law to provided that, so I took May's rent and as permitted under Arizona Law acquired alternate accommodations for my family. I then get a bill for three A/C units that I bought at Walmart and Home Depot and for my ceiling fans that I bought at Lowes in Chandler. As well as for the hole in the wall that I complained about since December.
I urge you not to rent from these guys. They are more trouble then they are worth. In the end, I believe that they were trying to force me to move out because I was paying below market rent of $500.00 and because I was still living there with out a lease they could not legally raise my rent to over $600.00. As of this date, June 09, 2009 that house that I was renting is still vacant, as is two others.

Again do yourself a favor, do not rent from Norris Management from Casa Grande Arizona.

I know exactly what you mean because I am currently renting from them myself. They left us without AC for a week in July, a month without heat last winter, a severe tick infestation when we first moved in, Scott who is Larry Lenderman's baby huey son is a royal pain in the ass and then 5 months after I signed my lease renewal they attempted to collect 125 dollar lease renewal fee from me they CLAIM they sent notice about. Fortunately my attorney is on top of this and Don has "waived" the rape-fee as it is NOWHERE in any contract I have signed. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! I won't be renewing my lease next May!
