Review for Forest Ridge Apartments

It was a nightmare living in Forest Ridge from day 1. First, they advertised free utilities on their website and it turned out they're not actually free and even worse, utility bills are averaged out among residents so you actually pay for other people's usage if you try to conserve. When I moved in I paid over $700 in non-refundable deposits and fees, and this was just for my pets! Throughout the duration of my residence I dealt with rent increases, negligence in terms of maintenance and snow shoveling, and nasty letters from management left on my door containing false accusations about my pets, among other things. To top it off, when I moved out I received a bill for last month's rent that was already paid. They told me that "their system just sends them out" and to ignore it. About 2 months later at my new residence I received a phone call and letter from a collections agency notifying my that I owe Forest Ridge $850. When I called Forest Ridge they told me that my balance was zero and they did not know why I was getting collection notifications. Two weeks later the collection agency notified me that I was reported to them in error. I am still waiting for an apology, but I don't think that will ever happen!

Trust me, it's not worth the few bucks savings in rent!
