Rented: From 2008 To 2009

I was a tenant with Braum for 13 months, and I left as soon as my lease would allow. During that time they paved over my garden without even notifying me, made me show empty apartments and manage the laundry facilities without compensation, and turned the apartment into a dangerous slum by renting empty units to irresponsible, rowdy tenants who would be up all night partying in the commons. I would routinely wake up to vomit on my doorstep. Then when it was time to leave, they deducted $250 from my security deposit even though I had moved into a filthy apartment and left it far cleaner. Daniel Braum is a nice guy who genuinely wants to help. It's just a shame that his father, Michael, owns the company.
