Review for Shadow Way Apartments

I've lived here for about a year now. Every negative review you read is accurate. No security, no control of the property and lousey service. The only gate to the property is "broken" constantly, The neighbors are loud and nasty. People leave trash on their balcony's, don't pick up after their dogs, and leave trash all over the area. If you complain about anything, the manager just lets it in one ear and out the other. Drugs are constantly found on the property, Oceanside police often come after suspects in the area. There has been numerous break ins, stolen vehicles, drug busts and even a rape (http://mapping.arjis.org/main.aspx). The rent is over priced for the quality of living, with minimal effort put into the "community". If you are interested in taken a look at the property, don't let the small community you drive through mislead you, just notice the sign out front which is missing letters for about 2 months. Be sure to walk the property, since there is no security and notice the area around the dumpsters where residents leave large item never to be picked up, or come by after 6pm on weekends and just listen to the "frat party" that is never addressed. If you lucky enough to find 1 of the 6 guest parking spots then good, just don't park in a "residents only" spot, you'll be towed before you can leave the car (It seems they profit from this). If you do move in, you might be lucky enough to have a teen age band next to you, where they practice their music at various times of the day/night, or maybe a few young marines that invite more people then the apartment will fit for a weekend party, every weekend.
