Review for Fox Creek Apartments

I will never recommend this complex to anyone I know. There are so many things that are disappointing about this place. Anywhere from noisy neighbors to poor responses from the employees. We had to transfer apartments because our neighbors were constantly noisy and the management did nothing about it. While at our first apartment, children would ride their bikes and skateboards through the breezeways. One day I walked out my front door, and some kid hit me and my 3 week old son on his bike. After yelling at the him, he swore at me and spit all over my door after I had left. Bringing this up to manangement, all we got was "Hmmm... they shouldn't be doing that." Six months later, they were still riding their bikes and skateboards though there. Our ceiling fan was broken from the day we moved in, and even after numerous attempts to have maintenance fix it, no one ever came back and took care of it. Getting tired of the noisy neighbors and the rude kids, we decided to transfer apartments, hoping that it would be better. Were we ever wrong. The day before we moved in, there was a mattress sitting on the balcony and on the day we moved in, the apartment reeked so badly of cigarette smoke and the carpet was extremely starchy from a poor cleaning job (which did nothing for the terrible stains that the last tenant had created.) There were even cough drops stuck to the floor in the room our son would stay in. Looking on our porch, the dryer vent blows down on the wood, and green mold was growing there. All the maimtenance guy did was give us a spray bottle with bleach water and told us to keep spraying it until it went away. (13 months later, it is still there!) We brought up water damage above our front door and in our dining room when we moved in, and the management finally took pictures of something. Maintenace came to look at it once, and that was the end of it. We tried to cover it up with hats, but after they kept falling down due to a "soggy wall" effect, 10 months and several more "never completed" work orders later, one of the maintenance guys finally came and sealed up a window that was causing one of the leaks and told us he would be back to paint the damaged wall. Two months later(now), the work still isn't done. We are very disappointed with this place. We want to leave, but they want outrageous amounts of money to break our lease. Whenever my husband goes up to talk to anyoe in the office about anything, all they say is, "we will find out and get back to you." Not one phone call or anything for the last 3 months that we have wanted info from them. We are VERY DISAPPOINTED in FOX CREEK APARTMENTS in Thornton. Do not move here unless you do not expect anything of quality, whether it be the apartment itself, or the management here.
