Review for Red Hawk Ranch Apartments

My girlfriend and I have been residents for 18 months and can’t wait to move at the end of our lease. We have been model residents encouraging recycling, getting to know our neighbors, and paying our rent. This past month was the final straw. Red Hawk charged us a $50 fee plus required a money order because we were 18 hours late on our payment. They acknowledge that we are good residents but “there’s nothing they can do.” This is the many of faults they have. They made a new policy which requires residents to call a phone number to request maintenance which they never notified residents of. So I went to the office and told a lady I had a problem. She said “okay we’ll get that fixed.” A week later no one had come. So I went back to the office and talked to another lady who told me about the phone number and the policy change. So that’s how Red Hawk deals with their residents. They blatantly lie and do nothing.

Also they do nothing about complaints. I have lived next to someone with an extremely loud alarm and it goes off for hours at a time. Its woken us up in the middle of the night numerous times and Red Hawk refuses to do anything. Red Hawk claims to have a state of the art gym on their website, a total lie. Both treadmills have small monitors for Tv and they have never worked since we lived here. One treadmill will shutdown if you go at a 6.0 speed or more. They have two exercise bikes and both break often. One doesn’t even work as the computer is broken. The weight equipment is less than desired. The pool area is a joke. In the summers its over run with college kids. They drink beer in the pool (although there is a sign that says no alcohol). Cans float around as they throw footballs end to end. And management doesn’t listen to the complaints or fix their equipment. I would never recommend living here. In fact I would discourage moving here because in the 18 months I’ve been here management has gotten worse, they have raised the rent twice, their policies are ever changing and never enforced.
