Review for North Woods Apartments

We are health care professionals that travel. We moved across country to North Woods (sight unseen) Our contracts start at 13 weeks. This makes finding an apartment that will rent on a 3 month lease hard and it is very hard in Grand Junction. The resident manager will work with you on a three month lease if you have an excellent renting record and good credit. The grounds were clean. The environment is good if you work for a living because it is quiet and safe. If you are a student and like to party and raise the dead at night, find another place to live because the resident manager lives on the grounds and she enforces the rules with an iron hand. The rules may seem strict but unfortunately that is apparently the most successful way to ensure clean grounds, quiet atmosphere and the security in today's world. We had a problem with one closet door and the toilet running constantly but it was fixed within several weeks. In many apartments we have been lucky to get anything fixed at all so we are thankful. They are very strict about living environment. Do not change anything in your apartment (ie) curtains or blinds. Ask for a list of what is expected to be cleaned when you move out. It is very lengthy. If you are not thorough you will be charged. However, I cleaned the apartment according to the list and they returned my deposit in full. Note... it took 12 solid hours for me to clean the apartment after living there almost a year and it was even a little above their standard which is saying a lot. But again we got our full deposit back minus the truck mounted carpet cleaners. If you are a professional who wants quiet, safe living on clean grounds this could be a good choice.
