Review for Clocktower Close Apartments

First the positives. The apartments are wonderful, featuring exposed brick walls and exposed wooden beams. If you like loft apartments, you'll like the look and feel of these places. The ceilings are around 20ft high and the windows are at least 16ft high, so, there is a lot of light and an overall good feeling to the living areas. Not to mention there is a lot of closet space. I was also quite pleased with the maintenance staff.

Now for the bad. The walls are paper-thin. If you enjoy listening to your neighbors telephone conversation (and incoming answering machine messages) you may not mind, but I was never a fan of hearing EVERYTHING that happens in my neighbor's apartment. Another major problem is the train that passes the building. It is LOUD!!! I have to stop my telephone conversations until it passes! The surrounding neighborhood isn't the best either. I spoke with two people in the building that had cars stolen right out of the parking lot. My biggest complaint is with the current office staff. For the price of these apartments I expect some level of service. Office hours are from 10 to 6 and closed on weekends. So, if you have any type of commitment, say, a job, the office is NEVER open when you are actually home. When making any request, all I ever heard was: "we don't do that", we can't do that", and "that is not our job". Maybe I'm being a bit picky, but I've lived other places where the staff always went out of their way for you.
