Review for The Aprtments At Cannon Mills Apartments

To start off, I'd like to say that this complex is extremely nice looking. It is currently still being built, so most of the apartments are brand new. However, the maintenance is horrible. I asked a number of time for things to be fixed and or repaired. They were rarely ever taken care of. Ever.

In fact, on one occasion I was called by the maintenance guy and told how to fix it so he wouldn't have to come "all the way over."

This aside, the noise isn't too bad. I have horrible neighbors so I can't really say too much about that. The office staff did tell them to quiet down. It didn't happen, but the staff tried.

The problem comes in with moving out. We loved our apartment, but when you leave, you are deluged with fees and charges that drain your security deposit. Don't think you're ever getting that back. My wife and I spent an entire day cleaning the apartment top to bottom because we were told we had too. I even fixed a number of the problems that I have request maintenance to come and fix.

In the end, I was still charged for the time and labor for them to clean the apartment a second time, fix things that did not need to be fixed, and shampoo our carpets, which I was expressly told would not need to be done.

From what I'm told this is not the worst apartment complex owned by Vintage Apartments that does this. In fact, some places, such as the Village of Westover are far worst to the point of charging people for individual light bulbs.

Stay away from Vintage Apartments. They are Nazis when you move out and will suck every penny from you they can as you leave. Their maintenance is non-existent, unless you have the time to ask them daily, and the amenities you are promised when you move in are not even available after a year of living there.
