Review for Towne Court Apartments

We have lived at Towne Court, which is the new Studio Green, for almost 2 years now. Believe me when I tell you that the only thing keeping us here was the fact that the UD bus picks up onsite every 20 mins. The apartments are small and over-priced. The laundry facilities, though just updated, are dirty and unkempt. The security system that they have placed on the outside doors are ridiculous. It is physically impossible to get the doors to the building open if you have ANYTHING in your hands. Good luck bringing in groceries. For about 4 months now there have been many days where there have been various types of workers in and out of the buildings all day. There is constant noise from construction crews for "community improvements". Now these people have dug up 21 trees, claiming they will plant 2 in the place of every one that they cut down. I doubt that will happen as they are using every bit of available space to build a new "community centre". From 7 in the morning till 9 at night there has been a construction crew digging up the parking lot assigned to our building. Even on the weekends. Residents that live on this side of the complex have to park in the parking lot across Thorn Lane and walk to their building, over 300 yards. There have rencently been a rash of car break-ins and a pizza man was robbed at gunpoint in the area where everyone is now expected to park. Even if the community continues to make "improvements" please don't move here. There are cheaper, better places to live in Newark and it will only be a huge headache for you.
