Review for Riverview Place Apartments

I have lived in these apartments for almost 3 years and have to say that they are an ok place to live. When I moved in there was fresh paint on the walls and new carpet. I hate carpet and wish that I could just take it out of the apartment all together, but I can not. You do not get re-emburst for any upgrades that you make to the place, neither do you get that amount that you spent taken off of your rent. The place is in need of a new fridge, dishwasher, stove, and vent. I think the last time that the whole place was upgraded in that sense was back in 2000!!! They do not come with microwaves. The bedrooms are really small and there is not really a master bedroom. There is NO STORAGE!!! One of the biggest downfalls in my opinion. We have a storage unit that we pay extra for about 10 miles away from where we live. This is only 1 storage closet in the whole apartment. There is a decent amount of cabinets and counter tops in the kitchen, as well as in the bathroom. But that is all for storage. There are no washer/dryer hook-ups in the place. You have to use the washer dryer facilities in the front of the complex. Both the washer and dryer are a $1 each and most of the time the dryers are shitty and do not dry your clothes, therefore you have to pay another $1 to use a different dryer in order to dry your wet clothes. The office manager is great!!! Very efficient and wonderful to work with. I have only had one major problem the whole time that I have live here and that was with my ac and it was fixed by the end of the weekend. Since I have lived here I have put up 2 ceiling fans due to there not being any in the whole place. Also, I have replace the main kitchen light, hall light, and bathroom light. I have painted the bathroom and changed the shower head and toilet lever. But I will be taking everything down and putting the old crap back up when I move due to my not being compensated from my upgrades to the apartment. In all, it is an ok place to live. However, for $590.00 a month, we are looking at moving into something nicer for only $20.00 more a month with more amenities.
