Review for Carriage House Realty Apartments

This place is a nightmare. I knew from the moment I first saw the actual apt I was getting. First you think the berber carpet looks nice but it's not. It's cheap, rips easily and you will get charged for it when you move out. Conveniently the cost to repair it is the same as the security deposit. My kitchen was awful - countertops were peeling, a drawer was broken, the stove doesn't cook well, the microwave handle was falling off and simply taped on and took forever to have replaced. The walls were dirty and it didn't look like they had been painted. The screen door was broken and took several calls to have replaced. There were cockroaches and it took several calls to have someone take care of the problem - the first 2 calls gave me roach motels (for small roaches) and bug spray to spray myself. The parking lot towards the back is always dark - they never check the property to make sure lights are kept in working order, I had to call several times to have them fixed. And if you have a pet, forget about it!!! I paid a $350 pet fee which they choose to not apply towards damage caused by a pet - such as damage caused to the carpet. Save yourself the trouble and don't deal with this company if you don't have to.
