Review for The Lakes At Indian Creek Apartments

This apartment complex has been the biggest mistake I've made re: a living situation.

Yes, it's cheap. I have a nearly 900 sq ft 2 bedroom apartment for $595. It is not worth it.

People get shot on a regular basis. There is gang activity every night. The "lakes" are all so low that they are just a breeding ground for the mosquitoes. I can't even sit on my patio anymore. The leasing office is a joke. They don't know what they're doing and the management has changed three times in the year that I've been here.

There are numerous "ice cream trucks" that cruise around the neighborhood and I am extremely leery of them. They don't have menu boards on the side, one of them is black without any windows. I just get a very "pedophile" vibe from them... They also circle the neighborhood after dark, "selling ice cream"... Creepy.

The pool - that's another joke. There are two pools... But only one is open. The other has "coding" issues... Or "isn't open today"... Or any other excuse you might hear from the leasing office. They never have the same story. The other pool is "linked to the alarm system" at the leasing office, so you can't swim after 5pm. So, if you've got a job, forget about it. Not that it would matter because there are no chairs or anything to sit in around the pool. Just lay your towel on the wet concrete.

The gate NEVER works. Never. If they're getting it fixed, it will work for a day and then it won't. And it's not even like it's broken. It is just always left open.

RUN! I would live in a shelter before I would renew my lease here. It is a great big giant disappointment. I have been living with my parents for the last three months of my lease because it was getting so dangerous.
