Review for Crescent At Windy Hill Apartments

Moving in to The Retreat at Windy Hill has truly been the biggest mistake that I have made in my life. Living here is worst than living in the hood. I moved into these apartments on September 12, 2008 and I signed a 12 month lease. I was told that my lease was up on September 30th. Well a couple of months ago I filed a complaint that my oven was broken. The property management took three months to fix the oven. Then when I tried to get my rent reduced the manager said that she wouldn’t do it because she got it done in a timely manner from when I called her. I finally got $100 removed from my rent. Now that it is time for me to move out the leasing office changed their information and stated that my lease was for 11 months and 19 days. Now because I am moving out “after my lease is up” I have to pay market rent and the amount happens to be about $100 more than what I should be paying. I then received a copy of my lease and the person who signed the copy is no the person who signed my lease with me. I decided to go ahead and pay the rent and took two money orders to the office. Today I got a notice saying that I have a late rent payment. Now this seems fishy to my bc they didn’t charge a late fee and after checking my records, I accidently gave them the wrong amount for rent but they are still requesting the exact amount of the money order I gave them and not what would actually be due. This management is so shady and they are the most unprofessional staff you will ever encounter. The people in the office never do anything and will constantly lie to you, especially if you try to call them on there mistakes. Assigned from the horrible management, there are rats and possums in the bushes, the gates are never close, people in the apartment steal things daily, the lake and the pool is filthy, the washing room is disgusting, and the apartments are falling apart.
