Review for Orion At Roswell Village Apartments

I moved into Orion at Roswell Village at the end of August 2007. My first year here was good, and my second year was fine. So, I decided to sign a lease for a third year. This was a mistake! I am not a complainer by any means. I go to work, come home, pay my rent on time, and am coureous to my neighbors. When the upstairs neighbors were loud and obnoxious and inconsiderate, I said nothing. When the staircase to my building was roped off for two months while they were breaking it up, I said nothing about how unsightly this looked, or how dangerous it was to have a pile of wood justs itting outside the apartment building! After receiving several burglary notices, I thought," this is a bad economy, history points to an increase in theft during tough times." When my freezer broke two times, causing me to have to dispose of some food items, I did not make a big deal out of it. I salvaged what I could and said, "hey. things happen." But I am taking the time to write today as I have finally come to the realization that the quality of apartment living at Orion at Roswell Village has dwindled!!!!!! On Sunday November 1,2009 I called i because the light in my bathroom and one in my kitchen was out. I needed the bulbs replaced. I believed this to be a simple mainenane request and expected it to be fixed by the time I arrived home on Monday after work. When I arrived home on Monday, both lights were still out. There was no note from maintenance stating that they attempted to make the repair, or that they were waiting for parts. I left another message. On Tuesday, nothing had been done and once again, I had not received any call. So I left another message. On Wednesday, same thing. This time, my message was a little more agitated in tone. On Thursday I arrived home to find that my kitchen light was still out- but thsi time a note was left. The note said ,"Sorry we are no longer replacing bulbs; however if you need assistance installing the new bulbs that you purchased we will be glad to install them for you. Sorry for the inconvenience." To top it off, the author was too triffling to even let me know what kind of bulbs were required. So, I left another message to let them know that this was poor service and that the least they could have done was left me the bulb types so that I could actually make a purchase. What do you know' I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK!!!!!!!! So, it has been almost a week that the lights in my kitchen have been out and the light in my bathroom is dim!!!!!!!!! My rent has never been late! So I find this unacceptable!!!!!! I am also disgusted that just last month I came home to find a note in my door stating that they were offering a 300 referral fee if you referred new residents. Wouldn't it make more sense to provide good customer service to your current tenants as opposed to paying 300 to get some new ones' If Orion at Roswell Village is too raggedy to replace two light bulbs, then why would i refer anybody to sign a lease here' Well, maybe if I didn't like them all that much! For what I pay in rent, I should not have to beg for light bulbs for a week!!!!!!!
