Rented: From 2008 To 2009

lived here for over a year. was told by management I would get my full $500 deposit back if I would agree to live without having the apartment renovated when I moved in. (old brown shag carpet, old cabinets, old refrigerator/stove, marks/nail holes in walls). Now, around a year and a half later. I've had my rent increased to $520 with just a 30 day notice and no reason why. Have not been allowed to grill which I will admit, they are trying to put in an area so you can do that now. Lastly, it's near impossible to find a parking spot at night. Now that I'm moving out, they say that I will have an automatic $65 taken off of my deposit for carpet cleaning (which isn't necessary if they're going to renovate the place once I'm out) and that I will be dinged for every mark, hole, etc that is left behind. Honestly, this place is completely dishonest...
