Review for Altoona Park Apartments

I have found that management is tooo busy with their Tropical Ice stand and home remodeling business to worry about maintaining this facility. I have had problems with the kids in the building running up and down the stairs, yelling in the hallways, and being obnoxious on the grounds. People let their animals urinate and defecate on the front steps. Management knows, and they are not punished. Nice to have to walk around urine and poo to get into the building. Handrailings on the stairs are ripped from the wall, for years!! They give the UPS delivery person a key, but not FedEx, so you have to wait outside for packages. The management make up excuses to stay at their apartment instead of manning the office during the day. They do not answer the phone during the day. They allow trash to blow all over the grounds and the parking lots. They harass occupants with mini blind complaints from the owner, who drives through the lots each day to find SOMETHING to complain about. One washer/dryer on each floor, instead of 2 each, like the advertisement for the building says. The hot water heater in the wash room does not work, and never has, so all your clothes are washed in COLD water regardless of the temp you select. Which ensures all your stains are permanent! All these have been brought to the attention of the management, and then NOTHING is done. They just single you out to have the "owner" find imaginary problems. NEVER again!! Nice apartments, not well maintained...paint does not match (using flat paint on gloss walls). Apartments are set up well and COULD be a good place to live, but changes need to happen.
