Review for Hickory Ridge Apartments

The apartments are not all that great and smelled old and moldy the whole time we lived there, we tired to get the smell out even shampoo the charpets and it did not help. The windows suck and wont stay open and the carpet was disgusting. They said they cleaned before we moved in, but there was visable clumps of dust above the celing fans and dust on the cabinets in the kitchen. It was not a remodel one but still I would think for around 700 a month they would atleast bother to clean before renting it out. My car was also broken into on their property and she acted like it was no concern of hers, and took no further steps to protect the property, even by the parking garages the lights rarely where on or even worked leaving empty dark spots people have to walk through. The ONLY good thing about this place was the nice maintenance people. Very kind maintenance guys and always did a good fast job or getting things fixed. That is the absoulte ONLY good thing that came with this place. I moved out early because of fiancial issues which the manager agreed on and even signed off on. Later after speaking with her again a few months after she was completely rude and accused us of trashing the place when we left it in the same condition it was when we moved in which was not that great to begin with, but it seemed like she was trying to pawn off the issues that the apartment had before we even moved in on us. Absolutly horrible talking to her over the phone as she refused to even be quiet for a moment and let me or my fiance talk accusing us of abandonment when we told her we were leaving and she even did a final walk through with us and signed off on the papers infront of us. Her attitude was unexceptible for someone who is to be considered business professional. I do NOT recommend living here as long as the manager "Raylee" is in charge. She acted nice and understanding when we moved out but did a complete 180 after the fact even when I was just curious about an electric bill that I planned on paying in the first place. Do NOT waste your money on these apartments the disrepect and headache is not worth it in the end. I know I broke my lease but she was full aware that was my intention and once I was no longer an attened there she became the worst manager I have ever had to deal with. Even if you do have a issue and need to speak to a manager good luck, they are never in the office and rarely answer the phone, best bet is through e-mail which each time I wrote her one, I only recieved one response back. I would never recommend this place or the people to anyone.
