Review for Leawood Manor Apartments

This place is a DUMP! The model they show you will be in perfect condition but I was not allowed to see my actual apt. until I signed the lease and it was too late to back out. There was PEE around the toilet and soap scum coving the showers in my apt. When I complained to management, I got nothing. My mom and I spent an entire afternoon cleaning the apt. just so it was tolerable. The kitchen was no better with sticky finger prints on the cabinets and obvious signs of bugs in the cabinets. For about $25 more a month, I would highly suggest moving somewhere else in Johnson County because you will be nothing but sorry if you sign a year's lease here. My other complains are that the entire time I lived here, my apt. was infested with bugs. The walls are so thin, you can hear the conversations of people in the hallway and the footsteps of your neighbors. The dishwasher never worked and was completely useless. The stove is straight out of the 70s and never worked right either. The patio had trees growing out from underneath it which made that whole half of the patio useless. If you should choose to move in here, insist that you are shown your apt. BEFORE signing the lease. I voiced my opinions to the management co. (Yarco) but after about 20 calls, I gave up after never getting a return call. Even if this place offered free rent for a year, I would not ever choose to live here again. For anyone not on welfare of some kind this place is completely unacceptable!
