Rented: From 2006 To 2009

I lived in the McGregor building for several years, during which the management changed four times. Maintenance was minimal, and mostly cosmetic on the buildings themselves. I had a hole in the ceiling for two years from an unfinished job. They sprayed for bugs constantly to no effect, left the building doors open most of the time, rarely cleaned the hallway, and only made repairs when someone threatened to call city inspectors, increased rent every year, refused to pay for electric, and made no attempts to control their tenants. The only times the property management even bothered to contact me were several attempts to circumvent my lease and claim violations; I'm having to fight to get back my deposit.
Even if you're looking for something dirt cheap, and not expecting much more than four walls and a roof, you can do better than here.
