Unique Apartments At Great Rates

Broadway Management Group offers an array of unique apartments throughout the city of Louisville at highly competitive rates. Many are in Victorian and turn-of-the-twentieth century buildings throughout the historic areas of Old Louisville and the Highlands -- if you're an old-house buff looking for a neat apartment within a broad price-range (their units start around $300), you can't go wrong with them.

Perhaps more importantly, their office staff is friendly and responsive. Maintenance requests are fulfilled quickly -- often within twenty-four hours -- by the courteous maintenance staff. Tenants are treated as individuals, not just as numbers on a balance sheet -- the folks at the Broadway office know me by name, which is impressive, considering that they own quite a few properties throughout the city and have quite a few tenants. They're also profoundly pet-friendly -- I started off petless, then adopted two cats. No deposit was required; just $10-per-pet per month 'pet rent.'

With BMG, you'll encounter no sales gimmicks ("a hundred dollars off a month on a twelve month lease if you lease now") or salespeople hovering nearby when you visit their units -- the rate you see in their listings is the rate you're going to pay, and you can pick up keys to any and all available units you wish to see at the office and view them at your own pace, by yourself. Test faucets, fixtures, and cabinet doors at your leisure -- no one will try to hustle you over to highlight a 'feature' while you're trying to determine if the tub holds water or the kitchen sink leaks.

Parking varies by building -- some properties have individual parking lots, some have on-street or alley parking -- but is generally manageable. I never had trouble locating a spot immediately in front of my four-unit Old Louisville building during the entire duration of mylease. Parking might be a little trickier in the busier areas, but that's going to be the case with almost any Old Lou apartment.

From what I can tell, BMG thoroughly cleans and repaints each unit between tenants. Most units offer gleaming hardwood floors and tasteful, neutral color palettes. Many also offer central air and ceiling fans. My particular apartment had neither, but ten-foot ceilings and an airy layout made a big difference during our hot southern summer.

Invariably, when a friend or acquaintance is looking for an apartment in Louisville, I'll take them on a tour of BMG properties. I recommend BMG highly, and I now have several friends happily living in BMG's apartments (including one drop-dead gorgeous unit in the Highlands that's a steal at under $600/month).

If what you really want is a typical complex with plain, boxy apartments that could be anywhere and dollars-off-per-month sales gimmicks, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want a truly unique apartment in a great Louisville neighborhood at a fantastic price, BMG is the way to go. Drop by their Broadway office on a weekend and pick up a set of keys -- you won't be disappointed.
