Day One, the tenants who previously stayed in that apartment had left the apartment in a complete mess. The had broken down furniture and toys everywhere. The manager tried to make us feel better by telling us that whatever we didn't want to through away. We had to clean clean clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was only carpet in the living room with no padding underneath, just carpet and concrete with an iron burn on the carpet that was never replaced and still remained after we left. Thre rest of the floors were worn out tile that would not come clean even when I scrubbed them with bleach. My socks were never the same even after I had just mopped. The walls looked as if holes and been patched up with playdo and painted over. The closet doors were very ragged and the doors to the rooms were hollow and chipped. Security was a joke. Several peoples vehicles were broken into and nothing was ever done to make you feel safer. One of our vehicles were broken into and all the manager could tell us is that it must been someone we knew. So I guess everyone else who stayed there must have knew the person who broke into their vehicles. We were college students we only knew maybe three or four people and we didnt entertain company. All we did was work and go to school. We didnt have time to get to know anyone. The grass was never cut. It usually came about to my knees (and I am six foot two) before it was cut. When the sink was broke she just told us how we could fix it. Our neighbor was very hard of hearing and several morning we were awaken by bamming on the bedroom window because they were trying to get our neighbors window. When she did inspections she inspected your apartment not noticing what needed to be fixed but what new furniture you had just bought. The kitchen appliances and cabinetry were very outdated. I could not use all of the cabinets in the kitchen because the were stuck and not working. The refrigerator was just old. No one would sell it in a garage sale. Overall this was a bad experience. We left the apartment a lot lot lot better than the way we received and management still the kept money out for cleaning windowsills which were still never cleaned after we left. We were also charged for cleaning carpet that was only in the living room and wasnt cleaned when we first moved in.
