Review for White Oaks Apartments

Only move here if you want to know what your neighbors are talking about or watching on TV. The walls and floors are thinner than any I've ever seen, and the floor feels like it has soft spots, which the maintenance staff doesn't seem to notice when they check it out. Other than that, it's loud at pretty much any time of day. The people above me had stuff stolen off of their balcony on the top floor facing the street. I only moved here because of the location and the price, but I'm about to move further away and pay several hundred dollars more per month and cannot wait to do so.

Also, the office staff takes forever to process payments. My debit card only allows a certain amount to be spent each day, and they held my rent payment for over a week before processing it, and it went through the same day as some car repairs I had done. The rent payment was declined by the bank because the total was over that limit, even though the money was there. The first I heard about this was when I got home on a Saturday afternoon, after the office was closed, and had a letter saying that if they didn't have the payment by Monday they'd take me to court. Of course, they're closed on Sunday. I dropped it off first thing Monday morning, but there was still a summons taped to my door when I got back that evening. I ended up paying about $65 in late fees and court costs even though the initial payment was in on time and I never ended up having to go to court.
