Review for North Lake Apartments

I was scheduled to move in on the 7th of Nov 2007 they called me and told me the apartment needed work still and it took til the 2nd of January 2008 til we were able to move in. I was told it wasnt ready as they were installing new carpet. When I moved in the 1st day and saw that the carpet was steam cleaned again they lied to me about the conditions of the apartment. They also changed the rent amount from the 1st price they gave me of $1,030 to the great new price of $1,130 so far not thrilled. The apartment I leased was on the ground level and the gutter on the roof was and has still been broken for the entire year I leased the apartment. I moved in in January and made service requests for this and requested every two weeks submitting a written request to get grass in the back yard as it is a low spot on the property and it is nothing but mud 12 months of requests all had been ignored by the property manager Laurie Synder. After speaking with someone over the office manager I was given a pathetic credit of 100 dollars toward carpet replacement as the mud in the back was never taken care of. Also if you are into nature you would love the wild life in and around the property such as rats that live in the walls and spiders and other pests coming out of vents in the bathroom and ceiling in the bedroom. The verticle blinds are 20 dollars at walmart and they are chinsy and will break if used regularly and they charge 57 bucks to replace them from the leasing office. As well with not giving me the credit on my carpet replacement Laurie Snyder added another blind replacement at final cost which is odd as I never in the entire year ever moved the blinds in the bedroom not once. They also never gave me the 100 dollar credit. I would not recommend NORTH LAKE APARTMENTS TO ANYONE PERIOD RENTERS BEWARE SERIOUSLY LOOK ELSEWHERE
