Review for Olde English Village Apartments

Old English Village seems like a decent place to live for the price, but after living here a little more than 1 year, I can't wait to leave.

First of all the parking here is horrible. We had our friends cars towed on two separate occasion while they were over for dinner. The property manager seems to have an arrangement with the local towing comany that shows up on weekends and tow any car on the lot without a parking permit. This wouldn't be so bad if they had a designated area for guest parking. So if there is ever an emergency and you need a friend to come over, be warned their car may be towed and they'll have to pay $120 to get it back.

My wife's car was stolen on one occasion, most likely by some of the thugs that live in the apartments. They took it for a joy ride around town and ditched it 1 block from the apartments, probably because they didn't want to walk a long ways to get home. They must have ran it into some wall as there is a fair amount of damage on the front end.

The property magangement staff are almost completey incompetent and will usually take as long as possible to respond to your concerns.

If you care about the safety of your car, don't live here. Someone backed into my car and was not decent enough to leave a note. Now I drive around with a basketball size dent on my rear quarter panel that is starting to rust over. I guess one of these days I'll pay an auto body shop to pay $2000 for the repair.

The interior of the apartment at first glance looks alright but that's due to a thick layer of paint on the walls. After you're there for a couple months, random spots begin to appear on the ceiling and walls. The paint on the bathtub has chipped away and the windows offer no insulation during the winter, you might as well keep them open.

This is just a short list of all my complaints. After doing a bit more research, you can find alot nicer places to live in the same areas for the same price.
