Review for Newport Apartments

It was beautiful when I first layed eye's on it. I should of known it was going to be a problem when I first stepped into my apartment and the closets were in bad condition, there were no screens in my windows, and my cabinets weren't propted up correctly. I told the man that gave me the tour of my apartment about the corrections that needed to be made. Nothing was fixed! On top of that, I had a leak my bathroom right above the bathtub. Water was comming from the bathroom up stairs. I told them about it TWICE! They came and fixed it. They left a MESS! I had to sweep up the roof particles they left on the floor, and paint was all on my mirror! A few days later it continued to leak. The leaking also made my roof mold. Now the Newports CLAIM that they are a mold and mildew free facility. Well when I called to complain, they sent someone over. AND ALL THEY DID WAS SRAYPAINT OVER THE MILDEW!!!!! They also have INSPECTIONS. The inspections are suppose to see what needs to be fixed right? Well all they really do is see who is illegally living with you and if you keep the house clean. All the inspections I have had, and no one tried to fix my problems. When I moved out, I had a few things that weren't intact. They actually had the nerve to charge me for them! Including tire tracks that have been there since day one of me moving in and furniture by the garbage can. Now EVERYONE puts garbage by the trash cans, and there were some furniture that was there the same night I was neatly putting my furniture out! I know one thing. I'm not paying a DIME for my bad experience there! And HUD will be notified, along with a few signatures from other residents!
