Review for Riverbend Townhomes Apartments

My name is Wayne and I moved into Riverbend in January of 2009. In the beginning we were shown the "demo" since the one for lease was being cleaned. It was picture perfect and nothing was wrong. We were called the next day and told we were "approved" and our townhome was ready. We arrived 3 days later with moving van and were completely caught off gaurd with what happened next. We opened the door to do our walk through and immediately realized that there was tons that had to be done. The A/C unit hardly worked, the floors were horrible, and the place was covered in drywall dust. So much for being cleaned. We spent 2 days in a hotel while we scrubbed the floors on our hands and knees and shampooed the the carpets until we were satisfied that we would be able to walk on the floor with our bare feet. The manager had no explination so we just went on. Over the last several months, it has been pure hell. The manager is hardly ever here, her name is Kim. She is rude and has no intrapersonal skills. She blames everything on the owners and on other residents and will not stand up and own up to the problems out here. The landscaping is crap. The tennis courts are run down, the playground is nonservicable, and the volleyball net is missing. The outdoor lighting is horrible and people speed through here like its a race track. I have many pictures of the pool which looks like a coy pond and is completely green with sediment in it as I type this. For 985 a month you would think that the Management Group could do something about it. Please email me if you would like to see pictures or if you would like contact information.
