Review for Rosehill Place Apartments

Elizabeth NJ is a dirty little town just outside Newark NJ where I lived in Summer 2007 to be close to Trinitas Hospital which is in Elizabeth. Rosehill Place was actually a decent little complex away from the grime of Elizabeth that has large, spacious apartments for quite a low cost. At first glace, the red-brick complex looks a little on the shady side, but it's really not that bad inside. The apartments are walk-up but they are only two storeys high so it's not much of a walk if you get a second or third floor place.

The apartment where I stayed was very roomy. There is no central air so I had to purchase an A/C unit. The wooden flooring means that you can hear your neighbours walking upstairs, but this was not too bad either. The bathroom was acceptable though the shower water fluctuates between hot and cold whenever a toilet is flushed. This was only a minor inconvenience anyway.

Parking is superb as you are assigned a space at no extra charge. The neighbourhood is quite safe with a local grocery, laundry, CVS and other stores near-by (5 minute walk).

The landlady who is coincidentally named Elizabeth is great and very helpful. Her husband Edward is the local maintenance guy and is equally as nice. I had no problems so I did not need to ask for service on anything.

This is far from a luxury apartment, but if you're looking for something nice, safe and clean in the relatively crappy city of Elizabeth, then I highly recommend Rosehill Place.
