Review for Highland Montgomery Apartments

the location is great as it is next to rutgers, in walking distance from the train station, and a 2 min. walk from downtown highland park. the bad part.. no parking, bad roach problem, and the laundry room is just unfit all around.. roach cARCASSES, overpriced machines that do not work, constant flooding, dirty. as for the unit, bad fixtures in the bathroom,leaking radiators, roach infestation in the kitchen that lead into other rooms. Also, the hardwood floors were ruined from the radiators leaking. Maintenance has only one good guy, he is an older hispanic man; he is friendly, amazing knowledge, and cares a lot. The rest of the guys really could care less and are extremely lazy. the biggest problems is maintenance has no money to work with to fix the problems which are on a scale from 1 to 10 an 8 or 9. Usually problems are fixed repeatedly, only to never really be "fixed." Cheryl, the head manager does her best and is a very nice woman who tries hard, however.. there is only so much they can do for this old building with such a bad bug problem, tiles falling off the walls, and leaks. I do not suggest it unless you plan on staying short term. We cannot wait to move out.
