Review for Pier Village Apartments

Don't believe they are almost full. The old section has more people moving out than in and they are well below 75% occupancy. The new section is even worse. If it is at 25% they are dreaming. Just drive by the place and see how many lights are on. Moreover they charge for EVERYTHING, storage (none in the apartments) , parking (don' t park on the street without getting a ticket or your car broken into), and animals (please they talk nice until you sign the lease). This place animal friendly . . . please cut me a break. The tourists are OBNOXIOUS and if you are asleep by 2am on just about any night you will be awoken by the crowd as they leave the bars only to be awoken for good to the sound of construction crews. The management office is a NIGHTMARE to deal with, as the Hoboken management is simply out of touch with reality. OH by the way expect to fight to get your security deposit back and DO NOT Pay for the BOND option. The bonding company is owned by . . . you guessed it the Pier Village folks. Don t hang a picture, don t spill anything on the floor, don t cook, use the clothes dryer or brush your teeth in the mirror or use the vanity. Singly the worst place I have ever lived. I could not get out of there fast enough and am still fighting for my rental deposit. I lived there alone, had no pets, came on weekends from the city to escape and got a clean notice when I checked out, just cant get my rental deposit back. I never missed a payment, left the place cleaner than when I got it so I am a little bitter. Once you sign the lease you just become another number. I agree with the others...DO NOT move here!!!

Everything above is very true. I filed requests to have things fixed in my apartment multiple times and nothing was ever done about it. 50% of my outlets never worked in the 2 years I lived there. The management office was always extremely rude and mixed me up with Mommouth University residents. I am too currently fighting for my security deposit. They took most of it saying they had to replace the entire carpet. I had one stain in the 2 years I lived there and I am now paying for it. We were told upon renting the apartment that they always replace the carpet for new tenants. I would never recommend anyone to live here. They care more about the tourists than the residents. The parking is absurdly expensive. Walls are very thin; you can hear everything. DON'T MOVE HERE!!!
