Review for Sunset House Apartments

The complex has a secruity gate which the chamber of commerce thought was wonderful when it was installed. S. it sold to Prudential Sunwest quickly became the darling of the chanber of commerce when a security gate was put up around the facility, but as it has changed hands it has fallen into disrepair. The property management company does not keep the gate in good repair. It has been open (unlocked) for months and has become very welcoming for gang members. Also at least two outdoor security lights have been out for years, although tenants have told the property managers about the problem time and time again. Apartments are cleaned and painted anew when someone moves out, but once someone moves in there is no upkeep or renovation of the apartment until one leaves (no new paint, no new rugs, no new window coverings). A former property manager told tenants that they could not change aprtments since it was "too much work" for the landlord to renovate one and then the other. Fortunately that is no longer a problem.
