Review for Ahepa 37 Apartments

My mother lives in these apartments and found them purely by word of mouth -- a fellow tenant at the place she had been living with my late father told her of this place only 4 blocks away. She pays a percentage of her Social Security for her apartment, and the bills are very manageable for her. The office staff are helpful and there is someone on staff who helps with paperwork for various benefits and answers questions about insurance etc. Mama was not the money handler in the house and she was nervous about having to deal with these things for the first time at the age of 81 -- but thanks to the staff here, she is managing fine. The people are friendly and there are varied activities and comfortable common rooms where coffee and goodies are available all day long; she even has a library on her floor if the weather is bad and she can't get out. The parking lot is well maintained even in winter, and so are the sidewalks. The building is snug and easy to navigate, and it is near Wal-Mart, church, bank and shopping areas. There is a weekly bus for those that do not drive. The apartments have an emergency call system should anything happen and you need help. The front door is secured and no one can get in without permission. The apartments are a little noisy and are not very big, but my mother is happy there. I would recommend it.
