Review for The Residence At Newark Apartments

First lease year uneventful. Paid rent for term of 2nd lease in full, w/8 months left on lease; mistakenly overpaid one month. Refrigerator recently died. Approx. $350 in food lost by time maintenance replaced dead frig with another dead frig. 6 days without working appliance. Was told food would be reimbursed one day, and told it wouldn't the next. Loss less than deductible for renter's insurance policy.
Management refused to reimburse one month overpayment and loss of food. We are on our way to small claim's court to pursue the overpaid rent of $625, the food loss of approx $350 as well as the principle of the owners not doing the right thing. I'm a good tenant, paid my rent AHEAD for the YEAR, the LEAST they can do is right the situation . Whether or not I win the court battle, the owner's have just won themselves a tainted reputation.
