Review for Skyview Manor Apartments

I've lived here for not even a full month and all the crap came out!

It was quiet and decent on the initial day, but that soon crumbled.

The maintenance men aren't timely AND they're incompetent. The first day we moved here, they didn't even have the lights and heat ready despite being called TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE! We thought it was the electric/gas company's fault but we found out the maintenance didn't turn out boxes on!

They also came into my apartment without permission while I was undressed! You know what they told me? "Its not my problem!"


After calling the manager to see if they were allowed to enter your apartment without permission, they said they could, IF it was an emergency.

WHAT'S THE EMERGENCY!?

They said our shower was leaking in a downstairs unit, which was already taken care of three days prior to this incident mind you!

Not to mention their definition of an emergency stopper is putting up cheap, flimsy triangle cutouts on one end of the tub, which is supposed to stop a "gigantic leak"!

The issue by the way is OBVIOUSLY in the pipes because our entire bathroom is dry, and the pipes back up UNDER the floor! How adding cheap things to a tub will fix a PLUMBING problem is beyond me!

I was extra irritated because I work the night shift and I got my sleep disturbed over this!

Not to mention kids run rampant throughout the building. I have no problem with kids playing but jumping over peoples' cars all over the parking lot, running through the halls screaming, screaming outside at all hours of the school day and night is NOT how you do it. Especially when they're perfectly GOOD parks right around the corner and more than HALF of the kids out there don't even LIVE here!

Then we have THIEVES in the building! A lady that lives on the first floor had to use the second for the laundry facilities. Someone stole all of her and her son's clothes out of the dryer! The police came but nothing else happened after that. Needless to say, no one saw or knows anything about it!

The elevator is a YEAR past the expiration date and it stops/slows down on occasion. There's countless traffic at night with people SLAMMING the entrance door.

Either the floor is paper thin or an elephant lives upstairs because we can hear walking ALL day and NIGHT!

I've seen people climb in and out of the windows on the first floor.

The hallways aren't in the least bit cleaned or maintained. The air is often stale from the last of windows open around here.

Not to mention the apartments for a 2 bedroom is listed as $555, but they're actually $535! SCAM!

I can't wait to leave this place!

Trust me, turn back now! Find a better and cheaper apartment elsewhere! This place is not worth the rent its asking for!
