Review for Cedar Craft Apartments

Well let's just get right to the point.

Maintenance will never fix a thing that is wrong unless it may cause a lawsuit. It took a month and a half to repair the damage in one neighbor's apartment from a hot water heater that leaked into her downstairs living area, and that repair was done by the lowest bidder who spent most his time preaching the word of God (the fix was to dry what sheet rock that didn't fall from the ceiling, patch what did fall and paint over the water stains). Another tenant's electricity was so bad that if her upstairs neighbors were walking around or if she had more than two lights on in her apartment all of the electricity in her her apartment would cut out. But her meter never stopped running so she was charged for the bad wiring.

Most of the security lights (exterior/parking lot) have not worked since I moved in. They don't change door locks when people move out and have not done a thing about fixing the outside of the apartments from when a storm ripped siding off two months ago. There are 6 to 8 inch stubs cut at 90 degree angles from the perimeter fence that was torn down 3 weeks ago. But yet they found it necessary to raise the rent to the current market value twice in the last 7 months.

They have not repaired the perimeter fence, mentioned before, and thugs roamed through one day a couple of weeks ago and assaulted a tenent's guest with a ball bat, pistol and knife (all at the same time) and calmly strolled out never to be caught. We have drug deals that take place from the apartments that management is aware of. Police are not a rare sight out here especially during the summer months.
All in all, if you enjoy a some danger where you live and honing your handyman skills for basic, and some advanced, repair jobs due to incompetent maintenance personnel (which I obviously do), then this is the place to live. If not, I recommend you do some more research on apartments that will not require this of you.
