Review for Meadow Glen Apartments

Where do I start....

If you want a $300 electric bill during the summer for a 1 bedroom apt.. move here then. The insulation in the walls is horrible, place cant hold its weak air conditioning in at all during the summer. We complained about it to the management, and they had the balls to say that it was hot in our apt because our furniture was hot.... I'll say that again, our FURNITURE was HOT.....Luckily I wasnt awake at the time, I work graveyards, because I would have asked "How'd it get hot in the first place'!"

Next, don't expect to get much use out of delivery services (UPS, FedEx, DHL)or even mail service for that matter. We had a gift card mailed CERTIFIED by DHL and the apartment manager signed for it, later it was stolen (Most likely the apartment manager, she's been fired once before then rehired...wonder why) and all she would say is that they're not held responsible for packages left in the office... trust me, if i knew it was in there, i wouldnt have left it in there, that was $100 you just stole. Anyways, we filed larceny (sp) charges, and hopefully she'll get fired again. Just recently they changed all the mailboxes and funny thing is... there was NO lock on the mailbox, it was just open for anybody to come and take whats in it, so i opened it, took out my mail, and then called the post office to send someone there, no doubt the she-devil will state that its not their responsibility for anything in the normal mail either.

Lastly, pray that you dont have anything actually break or otherwise need maintenance in that place, because it'll never get done. We've had a light out, dripping bathtub, gaps in the floor in the kitchen and warping wallpaper for a while now... and no assistance whatsoever. We gave up trying to call after trying for months to get one of them done, so we'll just wait til we get ready to move, make all the notes in writing and forward them to the management so they cant ding us when we try to move.

Overall, we would rate this one of the WORST apartments we've ever lived in. Not only would we not reccommend this to ANYbody, but we're probably gonna file charges against the apt manager for that larceny (sp) just for general principle. They're starting to turn into a "ghetto" now. When we first moved in, there were a bunch of older people and military families, now they seem to be letting in people who constantly get into fights outside, boom that friggin bass system at all times of the night, and people who seem to be "sharking" the parking lot for some reason, its a calibur of residence that doesn't seem safe if you have a family or children. I just hope this is actually read by some people and helps make their decisions for them not to move in.
