Review for Commons At Pilot Butte Apartments

My husband and I moved into this place not only because many people from work lived there... but it was one of the very few apartments that offered washers and dryers in the apartment. We started off liking it overall, the ladies at the front office are a little odd... the main manager could care less... the assistant manager thinks shes the boss.... and makes up the rules as she goes. At the time I had a 65 gallon aquarium, and two cats. We were given a bottom floor because of the aquarium... happily... cuz those stairs they have are way to narrow, and I know people who have fallen down them. Anyways, the neighbors above us decided it was ok to throw there cigarette butts into the grass below... we got in trouble for that... we dont smoke. When went to see the place, they showed us a different apartment because the one we were getting wasnt ready yet. The apartment we looked at was very very nice.. then when we got into our actual one... the blinds were messed up... some of the molding was falling off of the walls... and there were weird stains on some of the window ceils. Not a big deal overall... But our biggest problem with them was our cats. Both cats were used to going outside... enjoying the fresh air... and for the first couple of months, my youngest one went outside daily. One night... late after 10pm at that... the assistant manager came to our door... told us we had to bring that cat inside because we suddenly couldn't have cats outside. Then she told us some neighbors were complaining... saying that the cat had been outside for many days and that we werent feeding it.. which wasnt true. Most days she would go out early morning.. and wouldnt show up till later in the evening. Anyways... after the assistant manager told us this... we went outside calling for her and there was no sign of her... which was odd. The next morning... still no sign of her. I went to the assistant manager and asked if the neighbors had taken our cat... she said she couldnt tell me that... but she told me that if we did get her back that we would have to promise to keep her in.... hmmm suspicious there... then she said she would call the neighbors when they got home to see if they had her... and I thought to myself... there are currently 250+ units currently rented out.. how do you know there schedule? But later that night she returned home. After that we gave our notice. Oh, and many times we had people parking in our parking spot... and when we would ask management to have it towed... they said they would and never did many times. Some cars were there all night long. When we called the two companies ourselves... they said they had to get approval via management... so we were sol there.... I would never go back to this place..
