Review for Highland Terrace Apartments

I've been stuck in this dump for a year and a half. The neighbors are insane. The upstairs neighbor stomps like Frankenstein and fights with whichever lover she has living with her at the moment, another one is drunk all the time and sings at the top of her lungs to her American Indian chants and music. If you love Mexican music at full decibles, then this is the place for you. Even with all the windows closed (which are cheap aluminum and sweat) the BOOM BOOM BOOM blares through. Horns blow at wee hours for the drug purchases and cops are frequent visitors due to domestic violence, drug dealings or hit-and-run offenders. Although I love kids, the ones here run around buildings they don't live in screaming at the top of their lungs and totally out of control. The parents can't deal with them, so they just send them out to play. The pool is filled with algea, hasn't been open all summer and when it was open - 3 days - it was trashed by the inconsiderate residents that put rocks in the skimmer, threw trash and broke glass and wore clothing in the pool so that it change colors. The dumpster never works and the trash is piled up and maggots, flies and stench are overpowering. Don't bother calling for maintence. You are on your own. I've been waiting 3 months for new electrical sockets because mine are all loose and don't hold plugs in. Plugs are half way in and spark when you turn on an appliance. AND there is no GFCI in the bathroom or kitchen... so don't drop anything electrical in water and go to pull it out. You'll be "enlightened" if you do.

So - the run down is this - don't rent from Oak Grove Apartments aka Highland Terrace. No pool, tons of trash, criminal activity, drug deals, mentally imbalanced neighbors and way too high rent. And I wouldn't rent this to my worst enemy - or let my dog live here!
