Review for Alara River Oaks Apartments

There are locks on the pool/hot tub area and residents have keys, but management chainlocks the gates to this area between the times between 10pm to 8:30am. I don't know if there is a criminal element in the complex they are keeping out, if they just don't trust the residents or if the management just likes to exert their power. At one time the facilities were left open, but the newest management stopped that. Many other area complexes don't restrict the tenants including another Alara complex in town. This management appears unconcerned about resident wishes in this regard. I will not be renewing my lease & suggest others stay away unless they don't have a problem with being treated like children. I'm an adult and don't appreciate such unwarranted restrictions. And if the reason for the chaining is a criminal element, that's also a good reason to stay away. Also, if you walk through the cold winter weather to the hot tub after 8:30, don't be surprised if its still chainlocked. Your long walk back you your apartment in the cold is obviously of no concern to the management.
