Review for Jackson Terrace Apartments

Bugs. Smoke. Drafts. Noise. You name it, they've got it.

Plowing and salting in the winter? Forget about it.

Maintenance? Only when they feel like it.

Loud neighbors? Constantly, and the landlord allows it.

They paint it up real pretty (painting over wallpaper, might I add) and put in the cheapest fixtures possible to make the units presentable, but don't be fooled. It's a 30+ year old building that is falling apart. The heat doesn't reach the end units so you'll go all winter in a freezing apartment. In the summer, people will hang out outside your window smoking and carrying on with loud music and parties. The original bathtub and toilet from the 70's are disgusting and the re-calking they have been doing constantly chips off and you get mold.

The landlord (husband) is nearly impossible to reach after you've signed the lease. If you're lucky, after you move in you will be able to reach his wife, who isn't very bright and it is nearly impossible to get your message across to her. You'll have to tell her 10 times before she gets it (and you can only tell her one thing at a time), and if you show you're frustrated by her lack of intelligence she'll become very angry and spiteful and in a "nice" (very b*tchy sarcastic way) deny you maintenance, giving you excuse after excuse.
