Review for Asbury Park Apartments

So Asbury Park is currently undergoing a remodel. The point of this review is to discourage people from moving in for at least a year, if ever.

First, the construction crews. They start up RIGHT at 7am during the week, 9am on Saturday. The work is pretty loud, but not nearly as loud as the music they blare out of their black hummer at 7am. The other morning, they were laughing and yelling and driving through a huge lake that had formed in the parking lot from the rain. Then the music started up. Loud and horrible. We called the construction company, they were rude and unhelpful.

Second, the management. They are absolutely impossible to get a hold of. They've moved the office a few times, with no notice or help finding the new one. It's like a easter egg hunt..."Where'd they hide the office?!?" Then once you find it, good luck catching them when they are open. They open and close whenever they want, they have no set hours nor seem to care about it.

Third, the remodel itself. They advertise "stainless steel appliances". Sure, but the microwave is the loudest POS I've ever seen and the refrigerator is TINY. Don't plan on buying anything in bulk. They are also installed improperly. You can't open the fridge doors far enough to pull the shelves out to adjust them and the microwave door won't open even to 90 degrees. It was installed incorrectly and you can tell by looking...did they fix it when they realized what had happened? Nope.

Parking isn't TOO bad, but it would be nice if they'd get covered parking up. There is no assigned parking for the majority of the complex. There are enough spots right now, but that is possibly because most of the buildings are currently empty.

The parking lot itself is a DISASTER. It's in horrible condition. My car is rattling apart, due to the potholes and dips and humps and gravel, etc etc etc. Do you have a 4x4?

The neighbors that are left are average, with a couple exceptions. Almost every Friday or Saturday night we get a drunk guy cussing at the top of his lungs around 1 or 2 am. He redeemed himself the other morning, telling the construction crew to "SHUT THE F*CK UP" when they were having their rave in the parking lot that morning. Unfortunately, it didn't help.

No pool, no clubhouse, no hot tub, no amenities at all. We are looking to move as soon as possible.

Avoid them, there are highly rated complexes nearby.
