I was fooled by this place when I arrived at the leasing office last April. For all appearances it looks like an fine place to live however, after I moved in, the problems began. First of all, I was not shown an apartment until I came in to sign my lease and I wish I had seen them close up first. The exteroir of the apartments is not cared for at all; paint is peeling, mysterious stains are all over the stairwells and sidewalks, siding is missing in many places on the buildings. Secondly, there is a list of rules given to you when you arrive at the center, most of them are acceptable and I was fine with them, until I found out that the majority of tennants do not abide by them and they are not enforced; in particular the rule about loitering in the parking lot. People walk around the parking lot like it's a sidewalk and WILL NOT get out of the way when a car is coming through and children play in the middle of the street like it's a playground. Finally, and most importantly, there is a complete lack of communication from the leasing office. Rules and regulations are changed on a regular basis and information about them is never clear. I was summoned to court 3 times for no other reason than the leasing office's seeming inability to communicate to me that a rule had changed or needed something from me (i.e. they were unable to get into my apartment to get check my fire extinguisher while I was at work and left a note accusing me of changing my locks-which I had not done-and that I would be fined and summoned to court if they were not changed back before I moved out). Unfortunately, this is one of the most affordable complexes in the area and the apartment itself is worth the money, however, the management, community, and neighbors make it difficult to argue for a positive side of this complex.
