Review for Meadowridge Apartments

I enjoyed my two years residence at Meadow Ridge, and I want to point out a couple things.

Positives:

The place is quiet, and it was awesome!

There is a lot of room, and it was easy to have people over and not be embarrased by having to crunch together.

Parking is great

Pets are allowed... we had two small dogs.

Negatives:

The apartment was a hairy, furry mess when we moved in. Supposedly it was cleaned, but after moving the fridge, and checking under the washer/dryer, we were able to gather enough fur to stack a small wastecan full.

The maintenance guy, Bill, needs to be fired. He was an absolute mess. We had an issue with our air conditioner, he kept filling it. I knew myself the thing needed fixed, not refilled with freon. It took about 3-4 weeks maybe for them to finally bite the bullet and fix it (it turned out to be a cheap and easy fix). Our washer/dryer combo bit the dust. They ordered a new washer/dryer, when it got there, it wasn't the correct setup for the plumbing!!! Shouldn't maintenance people be good at figuring these things out?!

The maintenance guy also lost my rent check one month, called me, and notified me that I hadn't paid yet. I told him to look for my envelope. He found it, and explained the envelope was empty! I asked him what the envelope looked like... turns out it wasn't mine. I sent my bank a stop pay of the check. A week later, they found my check at the management office!!!!!!

Bill also wouldn't fix the VERY loose railing on our 2nd floor deck. They told us they'd have it fixed when we moved in.

Now that we've moved out, I'm expecting my deposit check back. Turns out, they don't have my new address. I call BS. I not only gave it to the lady in the office the day we moved, but I wrote it on a post it and stuck it on the fridge - as she requested. At least they could have called me to ask me what it was!! I did change my cell #, but I called the office lady, left her a voice message with the new #. I called back to make sure to talk with her personally to give her my new # also!

In a nutshell, the apartment building was great! The management and maintenance should all be fired. The right doesn't seem to communicate with the left, and vice versa.
