Review for Kimberly Place Apartments

Two of my main concerns when looking for an apartment are the noise factor and proper and timely maintenance-both completely redicules here! My roof leaked for a year before they replaced it. I found out that the person living here before me couldn't even sleep in the room because it leaked on her bed. There is still a 4ft in diameter water stain (nasty brown)still unfixed and is still running down the wall (my curtain was ruined). I have called the apartment manager about the issue and the loud music from surrounding apartments at least 15 times in the last year and a half and I never get an answer or a call back. Very poor management! Now about the noise: the building was poorly made to begin with. I can feel the people below me and next to me walking- I mean the floor vibrates- when someone runs the floor shakes and it can be heard on all three levels. I hear my neihbor's music and I hear them talking along with other embarrassing things as though we are in the same apartment. MOST of the people who live here (there is a very high turn-over rate) are nice but some are ghetto. I had my newspaper stolen almost every Sunday until I canceled. Some people have no respect for common areas: they smoke, leave unknown liquid on the hall carpeting (eg. urine and food residue), and bring around shady characters. There is a locked entrance but people will let anyone in as they are coming or going. There is a laundry room but most of the time at least one of the washers and one of the dryers are broken. Currently 3 of the 6 washers and 4 of the 6 dryers are broken. Management has been contacted many times over the last month (and years) but the problem continues. There is a carport ($35 a month extra) but last month 2 cars were broken into with broken windows). move-in was a joke. The tenant moving out has to be out by 10am on the last day of the month and the next is able to move in at noon the next day...not enough time to finish fixing the place up or for proper cleaning. The carpet was wet and the place was filthy. I had to deep clean before I could move in.
On a possitive note...if none of this bothers you Kimberly Place is within a 10 minute drive to both UW Waukesha and Carroll University.
