Apartment Reviews for Westlake Lodge - Bessemer

I GOT OFF WORK 7:20A.M THIS MORNING AND HAVE YET BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP. IT'S NOW 3:37PM AND STILL I HAVE TO DEAL WITH STOMPING, RUMBLING, THUDS, AND THUMPS FROM THE ABOVE UPSTAIRS. THE MALE THAT LIVES THERE HAS BEEN HOME ALL MORNING AND EVERY TIME I DOZED OFF TO SLEEP I WAS AWAKEN BY LOUD SUDDEN THUDS AND THUMPS AND CREAKING OF THE FLOOR. KEEP I MIND NOT ONLY DO I WORK FULL-TIME BUT AM A FULL-TIME STUDENT... IF YOU ARE A COLLEGE STUDENT THIS PLACE IS NOT CONDUCIVE TO STUDYING, REST, OR PEACE. I'VE SERIOUSLY STARTED TAKING MEDICATION SINCE I'VE BEEN HERE (SERIOUSLY)... SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT COME HERE TO LIVE. I WISH HE GET A JOB!!! SO I CAN REST. THERE IT GOES AGAIN . I WANT TO REST IT WILL BE TIME TO GO TO WORK AGAIN IN 5 HOURS AND I HAVEN'T EVEN SLEPT 2HOURS

I have not at all enjoyed my stay at Westlake Apts. Management is slow to respond to tenants request, or complaints. Maintenance does a very poor job, lazy, half does the job. Often experienced breakdowns with air conditioning units, inadaquate maintenance personnel to answer complaints.

Since Westlake was purchased by new owners in October of 2007 there have been so many changes. There is a pest control company here every month, Maintenance is on top of their game, and the office staff is excellent! They are renovating all the apartments, with hardwood floors, new appliances, and all kinds of stuff. The buildings are being painted a warm and friendly color and the roads are going to be repaved. They also hired a security company so that the residents can feel like there is someone around 24/7. Since the changes I would absolutely recommend this community to others. At least come and check it out and you will see what I am talking about!
